Bulgaria opens borders for tourists from May 1
From May 1, 2021, Bulgaria intends to start the tourist season with quarantine restrictions. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova.
On March 15, anti-epidemic measures for the upcoming holiday season will be approved. They will concern the places of residence of tourists, catering and entertainment facilities.
Requirements for the entry of tourists to Bulgaria have already been developed and agreed. According to the minister, the European Union will soon decide on a "certificate of health", and the Bulgarian government supports this position.
Health passports will allow those who have already had coronavirus and have antibodies, vaccinated tourists, and those who have a negative PCR test result to visit Bulgaria.
