I had the chance to talk to about 10 developers and several agents. After several meetings, I came to the conclusion that developers think more about their own narrow goals rather than the potential investor’s goals – to sell their property. Working with agents implies a more comprehensive approach to both market research and analysis of the pros and cons of various offers. Therefore, I made a conceptual decision to move forward with agencies. There were 3 of them, but the choice fell on … not even Hayat Estate, but on a specific manager, Tatyana. We immediately found a suitable format for both written and oral communications, which was convenient, efficient and, most importantly, met all my purely pragmatic goals in selecting investment properties. The process took a bit longer, but that was more due to the fact that I was going in with a partner and I needed to consider not only my opinion and capabilities.
